Dolores was born January 28, 1934, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Andrew J. and Edith L. (Johnson) Worwa. She graduated from Robbinsdale High School and spent a year studying at Minneapolis School of Art. DoDo worked a number of jobs over the course of her life, but the one closest to her heart was providing child care for close to 30 years. She was a blessing to all that knew her as Gramma DoDo.
Gramma DoDo liked to be active and she enjoyed spending her time gardening, baking and knitting. She had an affinity for canaries and at one point was raising over 100 in her home. Her faith community was extremely important to Gramma DoDo and she found great comfort with her family at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
With a heart of gold and humor to spare, Dolores will be missed by many. She is survived by her children, Joni (Russ) Nelson, of Lakeshore, Valerie Meath, of Mora, Marcee Anderson, of Brainerd, David Anderson, of Jenkins, Howard (Renee) Anderson, of Ham Lake, and Amy (Scott) Bartlett, of Pine River; 13 grandchildren, Jeff Miller, Derrick Anderson, Garrett Anderson, JoLeen Buchta, Kayla Anderson Fink, Jonas Meath, Tyler Grimley, Nick Grimly, Dillon Meath, Abbey Buchta, Jack Bartlett, Drew Anderson, and Logan Anderson; and 14 great-grandchildren.
